Team promotes MPSD at science fair in Boston

Science hub Hamburg in the spotlight at GAIN conference

September 20, 2018
A delegation from the MPSD visited the conference of the German Academic International Network in Boston (GAIN) in September to promote the Institute and the city of Hamburg as a science hub.

The annual event is the largest German science and research career fair in the United States. This year, Hamburg received special attention at the gathering as a location where science thrives thanks to the an excellent research infrastructure and extensive research networks. The city’s Department of Science was there, together with the University of Hamburg, DESY and several scientific institutions which showcased their work.

The MPSD team hosted workshops, made new contacts and represented the Institute at a popular information stall. Dagmar Schröder-Huse, Michael Först and Florian Eich answered questions regarding the research infrastructure of the growing Institute and its opportunities for scientists hoping to return to Germany.

The event was an excellent opportunity to network with a wide range of players, including many funding and research organizations.
