Quantum Materials at Rice University

I will begin by introducing the research activities in the Rice Center for Quantum Materials (RCQM) and outlining potential opportunities for collaboration between RCQM and MPI. Before discussing the research in my own group, I provide an overview of the Quantum Rice and Max Planck initiative (Q-RaMP). The focus of my talk will then be on the work conducted in my research group at Rice, where we study topological materials with real- and reciprocal-space topology, new topological fermions, and unconventional superconductivity. Among our various research directions, I will highlight in particular our recent work on intercalated transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs).
