Equal Opportunities
It is the declared aim of the Max Planck Society to account for the differences and diversity of women and men in all its decisions and to prevent discrimination. The employment of equal numbers of both sexes and their equality of opportunities as well as the reconciliation of work and family life are promoted.
At the Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter, support is provided by the Gender Equality Officer and her deputy. Their responsibilities include the following:
- Promote equality between men and women
- Assure compliance with the MPG guidelines on gender equality
- Participate in organizational, social or personnel activities pertaining to gender equality, compatibility of family and work and protection against sexual harassment
- Advise and support employees
