An investigation of the Kagome metal AV3Sb5 without external perturbations has yielded new insights into this group of materials. The work, now published in Nature Physics, is a crucial step in order to understand the intrinsic electronic ground state of this material.
MPSD Director Philip Moll has been awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant worth €3 million to investigate the interfaces between two regions in the same strongly correlated single-crystal material.
An international research team led by the MPSD’s Microstructured Quantum Matter Department reports the first observation of chiral transport in a structurally achiral crystal, the Kagome superconductor CsV3Sb5.
Professor Philip Moll, from the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, has been appointed as a new director at the MPSD. He joins managing director Andrea Cavalleri, who leads the Condensed Matter Dynamics Department, and the director of the Theory Department, Ángel Rubio.
